Kick off your day with a creative culinary exchange of ideas and initiatives on open systems and the political, technological and artistic aspects of these systems. Part hang out, part culinary experiment, the Open_Brunch intends to caress the palate, open the mind, and festively wake up the mood.

The current post digital (r)evolution is both a radical break from and continuance of ‘digitalism' - the belief in digital technologies. After 9/11, technology is less about mastering the 'universal dream-machines', and more about how we as humans put technology to use. We have entered a zone for a new sensitivity, mirroring the new needs, hopes and actions experienced in a world ruled by conflicts caused by the old New Economy, failed globalization, and war on beliefs. This brunch focuses on three post digital expressions: 1) self sacrifice and human-bombs, 2) love as the manifestation of ideology and 3) evil as the new interface between politics and religion.
De huidige postdigitale (r)evolutie is een radicale breuk met het geloof in digitale technolgieën, maar ook een voortzetting hiervan. Na ‘9/11' gaat technologie steeds minder over het beheersen van de ‘universele droommachines' en steeds meer over hoe wij mensen technologie aanwenden. We zijn beland in een fase van een nieuwe sensitiviteit, een afspiegeling van de nieuwe behoeften, hoop en acties in een wereld die wordt beheerst door de oude Nieuwe Economie, mislukte globalisering en oorlog tussen overtuigingen. Deze brunch richt zich op drie postdigitale uitingen: 1) zelfopoffering en menselijke bommen, 2) liefde als de manifestatie van ideologie en 3) het kwaad als de nieuwe interface tussen politiek en religie.
