DEVMAP: the virtual meeting point of DEAF04

DEVMAP by Workspace Unlimited is the virtual meeting point of DEAF04. In the DEAF04 exhibition, three terminal offer festival visitor access to an immersive 3-D environment composed of web cam images, videos and live streams, texts and animations of the festival. These media are reshaped, altered, and remapped to create a virtual version of DEAF04, constantly shifting. With DEVMAP you can explore new zones of real-time communication and exchange unfolding at the boundary of physical and perceptual realities. more

Now available: DEAF04 publication Feelings Are Always Local

V2_, in cooperation with NAi Publishers, releases the publication Feelings Are Always Local, accompanying DEAF04 - Affective Turbulence. Other than festival catalogues, Feelings Are Always Local features essays exclusively written for this book by the symposium speakers and other writers, as well as essays on the exhibition's installations. Authors are Arjun Appadurai, Mike Davis, Loretta Napoleoni, Alex Galloway, Tijs Goldschmidt, and others. During the festival, the book is available at the V2_Store in Van Nelle Ontwerpfabriek.
