Leonard joined ABN AMRO's Corporate IT Strategy & Architecture department in May 1999 with a remit to Corporate IT Architecture as an enterprise architect.. He is currently leading the New Technology team at ABN AMRO, which sits within Group Operations and aims to create awareness and drive business innovation for new developments in IT. Prior joining to ABN-AMRO, Franken worked for 10 years at KPN Research, the Dutch Telecoms research labs where he was in charge of strategic IT research for KPN. He also led several KPN participations in international research programmes for Eurescom and EU.
