Katsuki Tanaka (JP)


Born in Osaka in 1966, based in Tokyo. Debuts as a Manga artist in 1985. Launched video production company Kaeru Café after making a full-length CG animation "Kaeruman" in 1994. Books published include "Bakadoriru" (Fusosha) and "Ossu! Tonco chan". He is one of the cult figures in the Japanese cultural scene. Selected animations include PV "zanmai" (music by LIBRO, 2003), "frotoise" (words & music by Dirk Dresselhaus,  2002).  Selected solo shows include "Tonko Exhibition" (DEPOT, Tokyo, 2002), selected group shows include "RESFEST2000" (Tokyo &  Osaka, 2000), "RESFEST2001" (Tokyo &  Osaka), "DIGITAL BAROQUE" (EX'REALM, Tokyo, 2002), "Roppongi Crossing" (Mori Art Museum, Tokyo, 2004). Published many Manga books and released "Sunday" (DVD, nowonmedia, 2002).
